VOLUME 3, ISSUE 1 PAGE 3
Dr. Mary McGlamery has
been making a positive
impact on her students
and colleagues at ASU
since the fall of 2006. Prior to her years
here, she taught high school, worked
with students with exceptionalities, and
worked with a number of students as a
school counselor. In that time she has
made a difference in the lives of many
people.
Her degrees include a BS in Speech and
Theatre, MS in Elementary Education,
MS in Psychology, and a PhD in
Educational Psychology. Additionally,
she holds a School Counselor
Certification and is also a Licensed
Specialist in School Psychology,
Licensed Psychological Associate,
Licensed Professional Counselor and a
Licensed Professional Counselor
Supervisor.
!
Since coming to ASU, Dr. McGlamery
has taught both hybrid and online
courses. She developed a completely
online Master of
Education program in
Guidance and
Counseling, which has
been recognized nationally by Nonprofit
Colleges Online, U.S. News and World
Reports, and TheBestSchools.org. The
program has opened the door for many
non-traditional students to continue
their education while still providing for
their families.
!
Dr. McGlamery’s passion for those who
work in the field of Guidance and
Counseling and her commitment to their
success has assured her a place in the
hearts of many students and faculty.
However, those who know her best have
a great appreciation for not only her, but
also her commitment to her field.
!
We send her into retirement with hearty
applause and heartfelt gratitude for her
years of service to Angelo State
University.
