Lesley Casarez is a new faculty member at ASU in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
Before joining faculty, Dr. Casarez worked in the College of Education at ASU as a Graduate
Programs Advisor for 3 years. Her K-12 career includes experience as an elementary teacher,
school counselor, district testing coordinator, and curriculum specialist in both large and rural
districts. Dr. Casarez is currently working on clock hours for licensure as a school psychologist
(LSSP) with the local school district. While not teaching, she enjoys reading all types of literature,
watching British television shows, and water aerobics. Her favorite activity, however, is spending
time with her husband and young children. Dr. Casarez holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the
University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Texas State
University, a Master of Education in Guidance and Couneling from Sul Ross State University, and
a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology from Texas Tech University. She holds Texas
certifications in the following areas: Generalist EC-4, English as a Second Language Supple-
mental EC-12, Technology Applications EC-12, School Counselor EC-12, and Principal EC-12.
Daniel has previously worked in
the College of Education as a
Graduate Assistant and then went
on to be an Academic Advisor at
Howard College. He joined the
EPI Center staff August 2013.
Daniel and his family live in San
Angelo and he is a graduate of
Central High School.

Mandy transferred to the Department of
Curriculum & Instruction in March 2013,
after a five-year stint as an Accounting/Data
Entry Clerk with Accounts Payable. Prior to
her career at ASU, Mandy was the Executive
Assistant to the CEO at Concho Educators
Federal Credit Union. She and her family
enjoy bicycling together in their hometown,
San Angelo.
Michelle has an extensive background
in facilitating and promoting a positive
office environment and joined the EPI
Center staff July 2013. She and her
family reside in San Angelo where they
are active in alumni and community
events.
