TheEducator's Voice Volume 2 Issue 1 Fall 2013 for Web - page 1

Angelo State University continues to be accredited by The National Council for the Accreditation
of Teacher Education. As a result of documents submitted and a visit from an accreditation team
of teacher educators from across the United States, Angelo State University met all standards at
both the undergraduate and graduate level of preparation. This was a great recognition for the
educator preparation programs at the university and could not have been accomplished without
the diligent work of the College of Education staff, faculty, and administrators. Everyone should
feel great pride. Our partner public school teachers and administrators provided a great service
toward accreditation and their cooperation and participation are greatly appreciated. We could
not have accomplished this accreditation without the work of our colleagues across campus. We
thank them for the quality of their work toward the preparation of teachers. We will continue to
pursue excellence in preparation, so our graduates become the leaders in public education. The
University is fully accredited till 2017. At that time the University's programs will be accredited
by a new organization with even more exacting standards, The Council for the Accreditation for
Educator Preparation. Should you like to see our work for accreditation, the documents, data,
and reports are available for review on the College of Education website:
